Smoked Lime Margarita
A classic margarita with tequila, orange liqueur and fresh lime, finished with a Dried Yet. smoked lime slice.
A smoked lime finish for a classic margarita
The Smoked Lime Margarita keeps the familiar combination of tequila, orange liqueur and fresh lime juice, then finishes the glass with a Dried Yet. Smoked Lime Slice. The garnish mirrors the lime already in the drink while adding a darker, smoked presentation at the rim.
Shake the tequila, orange liqueur and lime with ice, then strain over fresh ice into the salt-rimmed rocks glass. Add the smoked lime wheel last so it remains visible and does not interfere with shaking or straining.
Serving and presentation
One smoked lime wheel is enough to identify the citrus direction of the drink. Place it on the rim or against the ice where guests can see it immediately. The recipe’s salt rim adds another visual cue without requiring a more complicated garnish.
For a run of margaritas, keep the measured drink build consistent and make the garnish the final step. That gives each glass the same finish while keeping service straightforward.
